טוב לב משתה תמיד.
Two connected ideas:
1) דעה רחבה
2) שמח בחלקו.
The Rebbe expalins the connection between them by introducing the discussion on מרובים צרכי עמך (בשביל) שדעתם קצרה.

If materialism is unimportant because one never loses sight of the purpose and goal, then he is always rich.

Even the undeserving Hashem gives all they want, so long as we aspire for principle.

The famous מאמר וקבל היהודים רפ"ז was based on ד"ה כי תשא עטר"ת.
There are parts of that מאמר that are not repeated in רפ"ז which the Rebbe said this Shabbos on the פסוק כי תישא תשי"ז.

The הפטורה של אלי' בהר הכרמל ומשפטו הידוע: עד מית אתם פוסחים על שתי הסעיפים.
Why being on both sides of the fence פוסח על שתי הסעיפים maybe worse than being a strict עובד עבודה זרה?
עבודה זרה means that there is a lack of Achdus, and one honors the intermediates.
Class Six.

For several reasons sitting on the fence is worse than being a strict עובד עבודה זרה.
1) One who worships idols knows that the lose reason for the exercise is some material benefit he can derive; but there is no altruism; while a fence sitter is unsure about that.
2)  The possibility for תשובה is clear in an עובד עבודה זרה; while he who fence sits always says that what he did isn't so bad.
3) An עובד עבודה זרה has a (skewed) sense of spirituality while the fence sitter has nothing.
Class Seven.
