Maamarim for 19 KISLEV.
Pade BiShalom 5712.
In one's Aodas Hashem there are choices:  
1) Live above the Nefesh HaBahamis, in which case no transformation takes place in the person and right after Davening and learning one can fall.
 2) Fight with the Nefesh haBahamis but treat him like an equal in which case the fight is incessant. 
3) Fight but with an attitude of no regard for the Nefesh HaBahamis. This (third idea ) is Pada BiShalom... Mikrav. 
In each of the three paths there can be war and peace:  
Torah: Pnimiyus HaTorah above the world.
Tzedakah: GaMaCh, where you are helping even the rich and providing more than what he lacks but wealth. (The Nimshal for this is more than the lights that filled the Lifnei HaTzimtzum world). 
Tefilla: with a Tzibbur. It is like the ten days of Teshuvah when the Source is closest to the Spark.  
Answering the question, the war is a Krav and you choose to fight it through Shalom, being above the world,
This then shows itself in all three pillars of Torah GaMaCh and Tefilla.
The alter Rebbe said this Possuk at the time he was released.  
Pada Bishalom 5713.
Beis Hamikdash and Nevua was real giluy and Hislabshus. It needed Korbonos to affect this.
The unfinished part of Pada BiShalom. Even in Golus there can be Giluy Elokus, but not through Mimalei and Korbonos but in Sovev (Atzmus) and Teshuva and higher Tefilla GaMaCh and Torah.
This Ma,amar was said on שבת מברכים כסליו ה'תשט"ז. 
פדה בשלום ה'תשט"ז. 
 This class explores the beginning and the end of the Ma'amar and chapters 2-3.
 This מאמר goes ion the גמרא that through תורה ומצוות after ,תפילה we redeem ה' ובניו from exile.
We explore what is the meaning of Hashem being in Golus. The fact that from ז"א there could be a יניקה is a sufficient notion of exile, which is redeemed by adding מוחין to ז"א ונוקבא.
The redemption happens through תורה וגמ"ח only if preceded by תפילה which are גבורות. 
Two גבורות:
1) Through צמצום. This itself has two levels:
A. שמאלו תחת לראשי- through שמאל (critical self examination) one reaches higher to ראש. 
B. שמאלו תחת לראשי- through ראש- very five self examination done with the head, can one reach שמאל, the finest correction.
After this comes גבורה מלשון תגבורת which us considered אתערותא דלעילא in comparison to the other גבורות.
This sets up the redemption through תורה וגמ"ח we'll discuss in the next class 
After the Tzimtzum and תגבורת of תפלה, comes bringing down light through מצות but mostly through תורה which is from פנימיות הכתר.
 The מאמר explores the idea of איתן of the נשמה, and how it pervades all the lower levels of the נשמה to keep them honest and protect them from יניקת החיצונים.
This איתן is the basis for the idea of פדי-ה keeping the the אלקות from possible יניקה. This then is the פדה בשלום.  
A very involved Padsa Bishalom Ma'amar.
Shalom is Yechida that gives koach to a lower Yid to serve on the level of total hisbatlus, even if his Yechida is not revealed.
The Yechida is the idea of "Ki BiRabim Hayu Imadi" [1) Yachid sherabim tzrichin lo, 2) The nitzutzei kidusha in Klipa also want an Aliya].
There are two forms to this Shalom 1) from the top down that affects Bittul or Ishapcha, 2) from the bottom up that changes the Metzius of the world to be Mikabel the Atzmus of Elokus. Most comprehensively each of these two must include its' counterpart a little bit. This is possible once we understand that the world is not truly against Hashem and when the Yechida us revealed we too can see it.
פדה בשלום (י"ט כסליו) ה'תש"מ.
Although פדה בשלום includes all three poles: תורה עבודה וגמילת חסדים, it is primarily through תפילה and תורה וגמ"ח assist her.
This refers specifically to תפילה בציבור which is  שלום on various counts.
1) When there is a ציבור the שכינה rests.
2) The idea that only when we are whole (joined with every other Jew in the world) is our sacrifice  a תמים ולרצון.
3) The idea of Ahvas Yisroel.
 Ahavas Yisroel sets up the אהבת השם. 
קרב the battle is up-close meaning, the נפש אלוקית and נפש הבהמית are allowed to be equal so the war is on equal footing.
In תפילה בציבור one gathers all aspects of himself in his service, including the נפש הבהמית.
He redeems not only himself but the entire world and כביכול the Aibershter. 
This מאמר was said at the סיום ספר תורה for the בית הכנסת בית מנחם in כפר חב"ד.
The בירור of תורה itself in four ideas:
1) פדה בשלום the redemption from the struggle of עולמות בפשיטות happens peaceably.
2) מקרב The struggle to redeem תורה happens with a battle from close up מקרב that no matter where the heart is the eyes face down to remember the world and struggle to uplift it.
3) לי goes on נפשי and not on מקרב. The person (דוד) has a victory that is forever.
4) כי ברבים היו עמדי to bring clarity to the world also.  
For there to be a peaceful resolution to war, there must be war.
But some victories are "peaceful". 
This short 19 Kislev Ma'amar explains the idea of פדה בשלום in the life of each person.
It is through an abundant dose of Torah, Mitzvos and (before those two) Prayer. 
Torah is intellect, anmd that was what was available to the Avos before the Torah was given and no more.
We were given God Himself at Sinai and we can connect the Giver of the Torah with the Torah by first saying the ברכות התורה and Davening, we then add the Godliness above the Torah to the Torah and this adds the bringing of Torah into our doing Mitzvos and the physical world, without any fear or error: ואין למו מכשול.
This brings on שלום רב- great peace as it joins the highest and the lowest the world in all it;s diversity.
the various different threes: 1) the Avos, 2) Kohanim Laviim and Yisroeilim, 3) Torah Avodah and Gemillas Chassadim.  
 three levels: 1) war 2) peach 3) Teshuva (Moshiach).
Ze Hayom Techilas Maasecha 5744
This class has an introduction that explains what will come on the second class. This maamar explains the letter from the Rebbe RaShaB that called Yud tes Kislev Rosh Hashana LaChassiduis, and he wrote about this day 'Ze Hayom...' the inner Kavana of creation is revealed on this day and it has to do with the Neshama!!!
This first class on this unusual Yud Tes Kislev Ma'amar deals with the classic yud tes Kislev ideas: 1) Ma'ase of Mitxvos, 2) Tefilla (and in tefilla there is also a return, 3) Torah is peace. 
 Class Two.
1) The end of Shas is with reb yehoshua Ben Levi because his message is 1) peace, 2) It holds the Blessing of god to the Jews, 3) It is connected to torah.
2) 19 Kislev is the day that 'Shlaimus HaKavana HaAmitis' of the pperson 'Alei Aretz' is revealed for the entire year.
3) This maamar highest idea is elevating the Soul, not the world or the body.
Shalom means that there is no opposition, but that there is merely an opposition that simply is not resisting,
Shalom Rav means that the opposition is completely eliminated and transformed.
This is the real insight into Pada BiShalom... Ki BiRabim... 
Pada Bishalom 5744.
A 12 Tamuz Ma'amar.
The Gemarah that links this Possuk to Torah Avoda and Gemilas Chasadim.  The Rebbe links this to 'the three pillars on which the world stands'.
These three are affecting one's 1) mind, 2) body, 3) world.
The narrow world (the person) and the greater world.
Yerida Tzorech Aliya of the Neshama, from a state of Amida (standing motionless, unable to move), into this world with a body animal Soul etc.
This class explores the 'Aliya' after the Yerida: the ascent from Tzadik to Ba'al Teshuva.
The ascent from being a Nivra to being 'Tehota Hi'; the Ma'amar also explained that this ascent is a Chidush, meaning to say, something so new, that it doesn't even exists in the potential of the Neshama which is why where the Ba'al Teshuva stands, the Tzadik can't possibly stand!
We explored the difficulty in understanding this and explained that the 'Tahor' the Ma'amar speaks of here is actually higher than K'dusha. The Neshama is both Godly and an entity onto itself.
This makes this version of 'Yerida Tzorach Aliya' (from Tzadik to Ba'al Teshuva) quite different form the normal idea of Aliya from Tahor to Kodesh.   
Two ideas of Shalom (peace):
1) Elevating (and giving clarity to) the sparks through Torah, peace.
2) Bringing together opposites makes even the war peaceful, as the peace is in the getting together with an opposite.
Pada_Bishalom according to the Gemara in Brachos (6a) involves all three pillars of Torah Tzedaka and Tefilla, but they are not equal. the Torah is on a much higher level than the other two as is enlightened by the Possuk Vichol banayich... Virav Shalom Banayich, that the Chazal interpret "Al tiokri banyich ela Bonayich". The Shela holds that the two halves of the Possuk are separate. The first half is about "Limudei Hashem" who get our koach for Avoda from Hahshem, while the second half discribes those who are hasehm's partners in creation. This is the level of Torah in the Possuk Pada Bishalom Nafshi.
Vchol Banayich 5745.
The ma'amar Vichol Banayich is a longer version of the Pada BiShalom that came before it 
It teaches that there is a level where all three kavim are equal and a much higher level where Torah [Umnaso, Bichal Miodecha, Milachtecha Naasis Al Yedai Acheirim] is unique to talmu Torah and this higher level is te level of Rav Shalom and where a Yid is only a son of Hahsem but (a partner-) builder of His world.
Cont. two levels of shalom:
1) Cherev Shel shalom, this means when one is involved in peace, revealing the Neshama but he knows that afterwards he will have to go out and fight the world, so the peace has an indirect relationship to war. This is true on the lower level in all three aspects of Torah Avoda and Gemilas Chasadim.
2) Shalom mamosh, through the Torah (of one who is Toraso Umnaso) the world is perfected peacefully and automatically.

Pada BiShalom, why real victory must be peaceful. Shalom is achieved through a higher light. There levels of Shalom, culminating in the Shalom of Liasid Lavo.
